Project Healthy Grandparents
KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER AND SUPPORTING THEM ON THE JOURNEY

When parents are not able to raise their children, grandparents often step in to assume this responsibility. Project Healthy Grandparents (PHG) is a community-based research program with a mission to support the social, emotional, and physical well-being of families in which grandparents are raising their grandchildren. Through home visits by nurses and social workers, developmental screening of grandchildren, and monthly support groups, PHG ensures that families of grandparents raising grandchildren are empowered, connected, and thriving.
