In a complex and global business environment, employees, managers, consultants, and entrepreneurs must be able to communicate effectively, think analytically and creatively, work productively, and adapt to the uncertainties of business fluctuations and transformations.
The Department of Management’s academic offerings provide students with the skills to meet these challenges. Areas of academic concentration include business analysis, operations and supply chain management, human resources management, organizational behavior, and strategic management.
The department is home to SHRM at GSU, a 25-year-old student organization that helps students prepare for careers in in Human Resource Management. SHRM hosts interactive HR workshops, volunteer, and networking events to boost student knowledge, readiness, and confidence. They are a community of student leaders dedicated to supporting and developing the success of their peers, from freshman year through graduate school.
This year, the department's name went back to its roots with a change back to Department of Management, which better reflects who we are and what we do for students and other stakeholders. We are excited for the future of the department and proud of the work our alumni are doing in the business community!
