The Andrew Young School leads with social and economic justice, helping governments, nonprofits and others shape good policy through interdisciplinary centers and departments that inform, influence and guide our ever-evolving digital world. The School of Social Work emboldens students to address how these institutions can more effectively mitigate poverty, violence, discrimination and other disparities blocking the path for many to social and economic justice. The school prepares students for leadership roles that will strengthen community partnerships and expand networks that address social issues and challenges that confront communities, families and individuals in the United States and across the globe. Our graduates are leaders in service delivery industries that include health care, child and family welfare services and nonprofit management.
The School’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program is unique in that it is the only MSW program in the United States with a sole concentration in community partnerships, which is grounded in the conviction that social work practice occurs in the context of communities where partnerships are developed for promoting social and economic justice and maximizing human potential.
