Georgia State Day 2025

If 150 alumni give to any area of the university during 5-7 p.m. on April 2, then the Alumni Board will give $1,500.

Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC will match all gifts to the School of Accountancy dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000.

A challenge gift honoring Dr. Debby Cannon, director of the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration. 34 unique donations of at least $34 dollars each in honor of Dr. Cannon's 34 years of service to Georgia State's hospitality students and alumni will unlock a $1,500 gift.

Thanks to you, we started Georgia State Day strong! In the first hour, we received $46,500, so a $46,500 gift from the GSU Foundation Trustees was unlocked.

For every 5 donors who give to Panther Immersion Programs, two program alumni will give $5,000, up to $15,000, amplifying our collective efforts to shape the next generation of Panther leaders.

Vice President of University Advancement, Cheryl Harrelson, will match $25 per UA staff member who makes a gift on Georgia State Day, up to $2,250.

Faye Borthick, Professor of Accountancy at GSU for the last almost 30 years, will match $2-for-$1 up to $10,000 to the School of Accountancy Scholarship fund.

Every gift to the CIS Scholarship fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the CIS Department Chair up to $2,500, amplifying our collective efforts to support deserving students in our AI centric programs.

The Emeriti Association Coordinating Board is challenging all Emeriti to give back and support the university. If 50 Emeriti give on Georgia State Day, a $10,700 gift from the Emeriti board will be unlocked.

Robinson alumnus Steve Tanner will give $5,000 for every 5 donors up to $25,000 to support the GSU Fund for Business.

Community philanthropist Mark C. West has made a $10,000 challenge gift to provide a $1 for $1 match for gifts to support the GSU Fund for Business at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. This fund is among the College’s top funding priorities, supporting research and programmatic initiatives while providing leadership with the flexibility to invest in students, faculty, and staff endeavors as needed.
