College of the Arts

Georgia State University innovation and dedication is on full display in the College of the Arts. Our students and faculty are editors, illustrators, improvisers, art historians, altos, cinematographers, band leaders, UX designers, storytellers, sculptors, gaffers, printmakers and so much more. The rich heart of downtown Atlanta is our laboratory, our playground, our studio, our stage.

Celebrate who we are and who we are becoming by joining alumni and friends in making a gift to the College of the Arts as part of Georgia State Day 2022.

Creation requires raw materials and your gift to the Allegro Grant Fund goes directly to our artists to buy the supplies and extra support they need to bring their visions to reality!

Two School of Music ensembles are going to Athens in January to show all of Georgia's high school music teachers why their best and brightest should be Panthers. Get them on their way with a gift to the Music Director's Fund!

Send the MFA students from the Welch School of Art & Design all the way to Ireland for their summer residency!
Over at the School of Film, Media and Theatre, our new, professional-grade cameras are creating gargantuan data files that are too massive for our older editing computers to handle. Help put our filmmakers' beautiful stories on-screen in all their glory with a gift to Film Media & Theatre.

The Rialto Center for the Arts is the newest member of the College of the Arts family, but our work together goes back decades. The Rialto Jazz for Kids series is celebrating its 20th year bringing elementary and middle school students from local Title I schools to the Rialto to train with teaching artists from our School of Music. Your gift will connect thirteen teaching artists with local schoolchildren.

A gift to the Fund for the College of the Arts allows the dean to quickly respond to critical needs that arise throughout the year in any part of the college. Want to lend a hand, but not sure how to be most helpful? This flexible fund is for you.

Thank you for supporting the arts #TheStateWay!
