The Department of Physical Therapy is dedicated to the prevention and rehabilitation of disability, injury and disease. Physical therapists practice in a various clinical specialties including acute care, ergonomics, geriatrics, neuroscientists-rehabilitation and pediatrics. The department offers a doctor of physical therapy and a doctor of Physical Therapy philosophy in kinesiology and health with a concentration in rehabilitation science. The program has a 98.5% pass rate on the National Physical Therapy Exam; the national average is 93%. The Department of Physical Therapy prepares doctors of physical therapy who are committed to clinical excellence, professional distinction, and the pursuit of scholarly activities that contribute to the body of scientific and clinical knowledge.
We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.
Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
