PREPARING GRADUATE STUDENTS FOR WHAT COMES NEXT

The Graduate School was founded in 2019 as part of Georgia State's strategic efforts to strengthen and expand graduate and professional education at the University. In that time, we have worked to establish new programs and partnerships that provide graduate students with the tools and resources necessary for success, wherever their path leads them next. We provide graduate students access to workshops designed to equip them with the skills they need to be competitive in an evolving workforce.

IN SUPPORT OF GRADUATE EDUCATION
  • Professional Development Workshops – Our professional development workshops equip graduate students with the skills they need to succeed at Georgia State and compete in the evolving workforce. Our programming is evaluated and updated annually to ensure that we’re providing graduate students with the core competencies needed to achieve their goals.
  • Fellowship Support – In addition to programs like the Provost’s Dissertation Fellowship and Dissertation Library Travel Awards that provide financial support to graduate students, The Graduate School offers all graduate students access to a dedicated fellowships adviser to work with students to craft compelling applications for national and internationally-competitive fellowships.
  • Connection to Industry Leaders Through Partnerships – As part of its investment in graduate education, Georgia State offers graduate students unprecedented access to industry-leading organizations such as the American Institutes for Research and the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. Through these partnerships, students are eligible to participate in exclusive professional development opportunities, receive mentorship from leading researchers and get hands-on experience through internship programs.

Your support on Georgia State Day will allow The Graduate School to continue to grow and expand the opportunities available to all graduate students, ensuring that they are prepared for their next steps, whatever they may be.
