College of Education and Human Development

The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) is focused on providing excellent educational experiences and hands-on learning opportunities for our students. In addition to producing top-notch educators and human development practitioners, CEHD is committed to being a force for positive change in local, state, national, and international communities through research and outreach initiatives.

On Georgia State Day, you can support:

  • CEHD Fund for Innovation and Engagement - This fund is used to advance the mission of the College and is applied to various projects at the discretion of the Dean.
  • STEM Camp for the Deaf - gifts to this fund will support the activities of the STEM camp and fund tuition for participants. The camp provides greater opportunity and understanding for middle and high school aged deaf children interested in pursuing careers in STEM. Students explore different topics and are able to meet and connect with STEM professionals that are deaf.
  • CEHD Alumni Network Scholarship - The Alumni Scholarship is annually awarded to individuals seeking degrees within CEHD. Past recipients have gone on to be professors, work for nationally recognized organizations and non-profits, and represent some of the best students of CEHD. Gifts to this fund will help the College to extend scholarships to a greater number of students - with the ever-increasing number of excellent students, there are always more deserving individuals than scholarships.
  • CREATE Teacher Residency ProgramGeorgia State University's CREATE Teacher Residency believes that every student deserves a critically-conscious, compassionate, and skilled educator. To that end, CREATE is committed to building and nurturing a thriving community of educators committed to practices of teaching that prioritize racial justice and interrupt inequities. We accomplish this using a 3 level approach: 1. Developing teacher-candidates, 2. Supporting experienced educators within our partner schools, and 3. Strengthening programming through university-district-community partnerships and collaboration.
  • Communication Sciences & Disorders Scholarshipsupports a scholarship available to all students in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. Students go on to careers in school systems, hospitals, private practice and beyond in a field whose needs annually outpaces the number of graduates from programs across the country. Your support will help to provide support to students determined to change lives in a world desperately in need of their expertise.
  • Counseling & Psychological Services Scholarshipsupports deserving students in the school and mental health counseling program in the department of Counseling and Psychological Services. Our students go on to work with all demographics in environments from school-based counselors to private practice. Their work, especially now, helps to guide individuals through difficult times and encourages the development of positive mechanisms for navigating the challenges they face.
