The Department of Occupational Therapy helps to improves human lives through innovations in research, community engagement, and education. Therapists analyze, select and adapt activities for individuals whose daily living tasks are compromised by development deficiencies, aging, or physical or psychological injury or illness. The department offers a master of occupational therapy degree, through which enrolling 45 students are accepted once a year for a 24-month degree program. The program prepares highly competent and ethical occupational therapists in the delivering of evidence-based, culturally competent, and compassionate care to improve the health and independence of individuals and communities within a technological and globally diverse environment.
We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.
Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
