When you designate your #TheStateDay gift to the School Film, Media and Theatre, you help us to provide opportunities in hands-on media making instruction while also grounding students in a solid understanding of media history, industry, technology, culture, theory, and criticism. Our students passions for work behind the camera extend to the stage as we endeavor to nurture those who desire to perform in a theatrical capacity.

Fund for Film, Media and Theatre

Film and Video Production Fund

Contribute to our dedication to broadening the range of voices heard in American culture (including perspectives that are often marginalized because of race, gender, age, class, rural status, gender identity, ethnicity, body image, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or political orientation) and to critically examine the functions of mainstream images in our culture.

Theatre Enrichment Fund

Created by Professor Emerita, Shirlene Holmes, a playwright, poet, scholar, performer, and speaker, this fund will provide essential support to our growing theatre program. Dr. Holmes is truly an artist in every sense of the word. Creating nuanced, innovative works that examine identity and the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, and class, Dr. Holmes has always sought to push the boundaries of art and writing by not only starting new conversations but also bringing old ones to new, deeper levels. Help celebrate Dr. Holmes' legacy with a gift to the new Theatre Enrichment Fund today!
