Perimeter Honors College
SUPPORTING HIGH-ACHIEVING STUDENTS

The Honors College at Perimeter offers a wide range of Honors courses at all campuses that serve intellectually curious, highly motivated, achievement-oriented students.  

Honors students at Perimeter enjoy many benefits and opportunities: 

  • Dedicated Honors College advisors 
  • Enrollment in Honors College courses 
  • Honors College recognition at commencement 
  • Merit-based Honors College scholarships 
  • Opportunities for conference travel and research support 
  • Small classes (typically averaging 15 students) 
  • Designated Honors spaces on some campuses 
  • Support with the transition to college or a career upon graduation 
  • International opportunities and experiences  

RECOGNIZING THE ROLE OF EXCELLENT FACULTY IN THAT MISSION 

This year, we are aiming to endow a fund that will provide for ongoing professional development opportunities for our outstanding honors faculty. This fund will provide for several unique opportunities and benefits for our honors faculty, including funding and resources for:  

  • Honors faculty to attend state, regional, and national honors conferences 
  • Workshops on honors pedagogy, so our faculty can be the best at what they do 
  • Recognition for being Outstanding Honors Faculty through a named award, the Portnoy Prize, which will be given in honor of our first Associate Dean of Honors at           
            Perimeter, Dr. Jeff Portnoy. 
  • Support for honors faculty who wish to publish their honors-related work in national honors journals 
  • Support for faculty researching in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning related to honors 
  • Support for innovative new honors programming and initiatives launched by our Portnoy Prize winner 


Another Record-Breaking Year for Georgia State Day!

We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.

Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting! 


Thanks to the thousands of donors who helped support Georgia State's students, colleges, programs, and centers over the last 1 day, 9 hours, and 13 minutes
