Department of Chemistry students conduct cutting edge research at the interface of chemistry and biology under the guidance of our dynamic faculty. Our faculty are highly regarded leading experts in their own field serving on panels and study sections at agencies like the NIH and NSF, on the editorial board of field related journals, and as officers in professional societies like the American Chemical Society.
We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysical Chemistry/Computational, Chemical Education, Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, Geoscience Chemistry, and Nutritional Sciences. Our students, alongside faculty, prepare for meaningful scientific careers in our expanding research complex.

We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.
Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
