With over forty years of experience in gerontology education, the Gerontology Institute is among the oldest and most accomplished programs in the Southeast. Through research, practice and service, our faculty and students are making a difference in our growing field. In downtown Atlanta, our program is near numerous programs, services, and organizations which provide students with close to campus first-hand experiences in the field of aging.
As life expectancies rise, this demographic shift will alter communities and families in numerous ways. Many will be healthier and better off than previous generations, while others will reach older age after a lifetime of disadvantage. In order to address these divergent needs in Georgia, we need experts who are trained in gerontology and prepared to lead the changing policy and service needs of this new population of elders.
Contribute to the Gerontology Institute and support students who are serving future generations of Georgia and beyond.
We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.
Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
Thanks to the thousands of donors who helped support Georgia State's students, colleges, programs, and centers over the last 1 day, 9 hours, and 13 minutes.
As we finalize counting our gifts, we hope you will check back here to see our final count.
