Institute for Women Gender and Sexuality Studies

The interdisciplinary field of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS), offers training in a wide range of feminist methods and perspectives at Georgia State. The WGSS program provides a multicultural, globalized curriculum and contributes to the university’s broader mission of encouraging critical thinking through a focus on feminist and womanist interdisciplinary scholarship, teaching and community participation.

Support for the Institute for Women Gender and Sexuality Studies is key to promoting transformative thinking and activism toward ending oppression and working for freedom and justice.

Another Record-Breaking Year for Georgia State Day!

We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.

Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
