Georgia State University's Neuroscience Institute supports research and education focused on understanding the structure and function of the nervous system. Neuroscience is among the fastest-growing fields of science and medicine.
The Neuroscience Institute is an independent academic department consisting of 24 faculty members in its core faculty. It includes more than 50 associate faculty who engage in research and teaching in neuroscience and related disciplines in many departments across the university. These faculty and partnerships provide the Neuroscience Institute with a diverse, interdisciplinary perspective to its research and educational programs, and help it fulfill its mission of supporting neuroscience across Georgia State.

Points of Pride
We did it again! With the support of the entire Panther Family, we set many new records this year on Georgia State Day. More than 2,700 gifts generated over $930,000. Donors supported 258 university initiatives and unlocked 54 challenges and matching gift opportunities.
Thousands of Panthers roared to celebrate Georgia State Day. Our fourth annual day of giving has raised more than $823,000 from 2,530 gifts, and we're still counting!
